Cable blocks are fastening systems in which multiple cables are mounted in layers or side by side. The Universal series from KOZ functions as a modular cable block system for switch cabinets where cable configurations change regularly. The block system enables bundles that can be expanded per layer without disturbing existing mounting.

Cable clamps fasten cables permanently. Cable blocks are designed for environments where installations evolve. Switch cabinets undergo multiple expansions during their service life. With modular blocks, each expansion can be carried out by adding a layer.
KOZ Cable clamps and blocks are certified to the international NEN-EN-IEC 61914:2021 norm.
The KOZ Universal series is available in UNI 3x (three cables per layer) and UNI 4x (four cables per layer). Both types are stackable without limit. An installation with twelve cables can be configured as four layers of three cables, or as three layers of four cables.
The system covers Ø13-150mm without requiring different block types. Control cables, medium-voltage cables and high-voltage cables can be combined within the same installation. Complete sets available including fixing materials matched to the block configuration.
Switch cabinets: Low-voltage and medium-voltage switch cabinets organise power supplies, control cables and signal lines in separate layers. During expansion, additional cables are added as a new layer.
Test facilities: Laboratories with varying cable configurations per test setup. Cable blocks facilitate rapid reconfiguration between test cycles.
Prefabricated installations: With prefabricated switch cabinets, complete layers are prepared and transported. Stackable blocks accelerate assembly.
Maintenance-intensive environments: Process industries with periodic cable replacement. A single cable can be removed from a layer without disturbing the rest.

Certification in accordance with NEN-EN-IEC 61914:2021 guarantees resistance to electromagnetic forces during short circuits. Tests at KEMA (DNV-GL), Schneider Electric and SGS validate that the blocks hold cables in place at current peaks of up to tens of kiloamperes.
The PA66 polyamide material retains its mechanical properties across the full temperature range. In switch cabinets where temperatures vary due to load, grip remains consistent. Halogen-free composition meets fire safety requirements for enclosed spaces and rail applications (EN 45545-2).
Ø13-150mm without custom orders for non-standard cable diameters.
Add layers without dismantling the existing configuration. Installations remain out of service for shorter periods.
Tests at KEMA (DNV-GL), Schneider Electric and SGS validate resistance to electromagnetic forces during short circuits.
Type Approval for maritime and offshore applications. Suitable for platforms, vessels and offshore wind installations.
A one-off investment without replacement cycles in installations that remain operational for 20-30 years.
Cable clamps fasten cables permanently. Cable blocks are stackable, allowing layers to be added. A cable clamp requires full dismantling to add cables. A cable block accommodates expansion by stacking a new layer.
UNI 3x (three cables per layer) and UNI 4x (four cables per layer). Configurations with five or more cables are available as custom solutions. All types are stackable without limit for installations with tens to hundreds of cables.
For narrow switch cabinets, UNI 3x is suitable. For wider cabinets, UNI 4x offers more efficient cable density. Cables with similar diameters are grouped per layer. Control cables (Ø13-25mm) separated from power cables (Ø40-100mm).
PA66 polyamide is UV resistant and suitable for -80°C to +120°C. Cable blocks can be used outdoors provided they are protected from direct weather exposure. Lloyd’s Register Type Approval available for maritime and offshore applications.
Complete mounting sets contain standardised fixing materials compatible with DIN rails. Mounting requires no specialist tools. Recommended tightening torque: 5-8 Nm. Technical manuals and instructional videos are available.
